Seventeen and a half hours until go time. I am excited about the competition. I know that an event like Haugen's doesn't seem like a big deal to most people, but I appreciate the fact that the Drosts put this event together out of their own passion for the sport and a desire to give local guys a chance to try strongman. I will always have a loyalty for this event.
Today I was able to follow my stay loose and rest plan. I didn't go into the shop until 2:00pm today. I had to work for a couple of hours early this morning, but then I went home and helped my wife the kids and just relaxed. I've been trying to take in as much protein as I can and some extra carbs as well. I need to drink more water tonight and tomorrow morning to be sure I stay hydrated. I am also hoping to get another good night of sleep, two nights in a row will really be amazing.
