Healthy goals

I want to expound a little on strongman goal #2, staying healthy for a long time.

I am going to turn 35 one week from today. I have stated before that this year has been the most difficult for me physically. I was beginning to think I was falling apart. Every day I would wake up with a new pain. Now that I have been working out again things are getting much better. I have been reminded of the benefits of exercise, of course. It goes beyond just being more healthy. I have a beautiful wife four great kids. Our kids range in age from 6yrs to 6mos. I love them all and we have a lot of fun as a family. But what I want is to be very active along with them as they grow up. At this point I will be into my fifties when the last one leaves the nest. That is many years of camping trips, sporting events, and living room tackling matches. I want to do that stuff for a long time - even with my grand children.

It would be a good thing to be able to be involved in and even competing in strongman at the masters level someday. What an opportunity to carry that influence into the next two decades.
