"Vacation" Lifting

Lifting over the holidays is a little tricky. I think that We have gotten into the weight room twice since Christmas. all of the holiday travel and gatherings makes finding the time and place to lift difficult. Last week Al brought his younger brother to lift with us. His bro is in the Air Force - military intelligence. These guys! I asked Al, who is a software developer, If there are any rocket scientists or brain surgeons in the family. Anyway, his bro lifted a little and snapped a couple of pics of Al and I for his facebook page. The pic at the left is me being over ambitious with 140# skull crushers. I knocked out ten reps in that set but paid for it the next two days.

This pic to the right is kind of a weird angle of Al doing 50# triceps extensions. Very impressive, Al.
Actually one of the best things about this holiday season has been the rest. I will write about it more in my next post on nutrition, but I have done little but relax for two or three days. I think it has really been good for muscle recovery, not to mention just basic fatigue recovery. I work a lot of hours beside family time and time spent training. I decided I was going to take some of this time to just get some extra rest and it has been great. I am feeling ready to get back to work and training at full speed.
