Manly lifting

Sorry about the length of the last post. I felt I needed to tell the whole story to get the point across. This one will be much shorter.
Al and I have kind of an inside joke that dead lift day is "manly" lifting day. The lift is really the most basic of power lifts: lifting large amounts of weight off of the ground. It really is an exhausting lift and takes every ounce of whatever you have to lift it. Benching, for instance, is strenous but beside the pectorals only uses small muscle groups. Squating is lower back and full lower body, but I still feel as though I could do some arms or shoulders after squating. The heavy dead lift, on the other hand, is a full-body lift. After a dead lift max I am totally spent. Thankfully this isn't a max day!
