Last night we decided, actually I decided unilaterally, that we would do some dead lifts and shoulder stuff. I was feeling great on the dead lift last night. Last week I left the dead lift bar feeling as though I could have done more. Last night I decided to start at 350#, 20# more that my third set last week. It went well; 350# for eight, 360# for six, and 365# for four.
The dead lift has been a difficult one to determine my limits. Even after increasing my rep weight I feel that I may have been able to do a few more reps or a few more pounds. Last night I though I was going to reach my limit, but I am not sure I did. We will have to see next week. maybe I can figure it out then. On to my nemesis.
I always struggle with military presses, cleans, and clean and press. i don't know why shoulders has always been a weakness, but I struggle there. I hope it is just due to the fact that I haven't really worked my shoulders much over the past several years. I know I will improve, but I still don't like doing them!
