Last week was kind of a long, stressful week. Business was hectic, money was tight, and sleep was at a premium. With Al out of town and the busyness of the week I didn't make it into the weight room at all. I also failed miserably in my eating habits. I leaned on caffeine and sugar for energy rather than make a little extra effort to eat right. I am glad that week is over!
Enter, the first week of February. On Saturday, January 31, I decided to pull the trigger on an extreme change in diet - I quit caffeine and sweets cold turkey! It has been 48 hours now and I am beginning to feel the withdrawal. I had a massive headache this afternoon and a major low in my energy just after that. I also felt a little out of it all day. If I can make it for two weeks then I am told that the withdrawals and cravings will subside. I am determined to do so.
I know that my diet has been a particular obstacle and I want to overcome that in order to help me achieve the strongman goals!
